VOLUNTEER TRAINING
Volunteers are an integral part of our school. You add so much to the educational and enrichment experiences that our children have at Hernwood Elementary School. We appreciate you so much!
All parents/guardians going into the classrooms or chaperoning trips (both new and returning volunteers) are required to go through the volunteer training process. The training will take about 30 minutes of your time and will give you information about the “what if’s” of volunteering. This includes how to respond to circumstances such as suspected child abuse or student injury. Universal medical precautions and general best practices will be discussed. Participants will fill out a short application as well.
